Partners & Collaborations

LBI-RUD holds close ties with its renowned partner institutions, namely the CeMM Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the Medical University of Vienna, and the Children’s Cancer Research Institute (CCRI), closely connected to the St. Anna Children’s Hospital, which are an integral and important part of the LBI-RUD.

World-wide collaborations are essential to comprehensively study rare diseases, and besides individual research collaborations, LBI-RUD researchers are well connected in global networks and international research consortia, such as the NIH Undiagnosed Diseases Program and the Undiagnosed Diseases Network, or the International Rare Diseases Research Consortium.

LBI-RUD closely collaborates with physicians both locally and internationally, with the CeRUD Vienna Center for Rare and Undiagnosed Diseases, and the Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic and Research Center Vienna.

To advance the field of participatory medicine, LBI-RUD promotes continuous communication and cooperation with various stakeholders including patient organizations and advocacy groups, such as Pro Rare Austria.
