Two DOC fellowships of the Austrian Academy of Sciences awarded to PhD students Tomislav Kokotovic and Christopher Fell of the group of Vanja Nagy

Tomislav Kokotovic  and Christopher Fell, both PhD students in the research group of Vanja Nagy, have been awarded a prestigious and highly competitive DOC fellowship of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

„Chronic pain affects one third of population at some stage of the life. By studying a rare disorder, Congenital Insensitivity to Pain, in our lab, we are extending the basic biology of the pain perception as well as identifying novel molecular targets for pain management“, explains Tomislav Kokotovic. Christopher Fell’s funded research project is entitled „Characterising the neuronal function of Hace1 E3 ubiquitin ligase“.
